Although the weather is turning nicer now, Spring at the Shelter can be even busier than Winter because it is kitten season. That means intense activity in the Shelter and a greater need for foster families to care for pregnant and nursing mothers as well as abandoned kittens.

We are in particular need of Saturday and Sunday morning volunteers. Please contact us if you would like to help out by volunteering or fostering. It is very rewarding knowing that you made a difference in the lives of these homeless kitties! Please call 508-695-4707 or visit us at 200 South Street (Route 1A) in Plainville.

Paws of Plainville, Inc. is dedicated to helping the homeless cats in the local area. We are an all volunteer, nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to P.O. Box 2236, Plainville, MA 02762.

Volunteers work during one or more of the shelter's visiting hours to feed the cats, clean the cages and launder bedding.

We also try to make sure all the animals get love and attention while we're there.

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail us at pawsofplainville@comcast.net, and someone will contact you.

You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer.
