Would you like to share your happy tail with us?
Reunited! Our mystery calico lady from Wrentham was reunited with her family tonight (January 5th, 2015). Thank you everyone who shared and made this happen very quickly!
Adelle known as
Tootsie to her family, will be sleeping in her own bed tonight.
I hope you are surviving the winter ok. I have attached a few pictures of Amistad (Jake) & Estonia (Abby). They are so much fun and have such awesome personalities! They get along great with our dog, Bosco!
Finally getting around to sending you some pictures. As I said on the phone, Amstel is adjusting as if he has always been here! We love his sweetness and is much more playful than Stormy ever was.... Jess is doing well training him and as you can see from the pictures is loving up Macie (our Black Lab). We are so blessed to have found him and we knew as soon as we saw him he was for us!
Hi. Just thought I would send you a picture and an update of our precious little princess. I hope you enjoy the photo - it's not easy to catch her with the camera.
Annie is doing great and has really become a great companion. We just love her. She has pretty much taken over the house and our hearts and I couldn't be happier as she's the perfect torti. She gets along well with her big brother, sleeps at the foot of our bed and sits with me while watching t.v.
Annie had her last distemper shot, is up to date with her vet visits and is really starting to grow. During her daily play periods she becomes a one cat circus.
It really feels good to know this little bundle of joy is living what we feel is great life, far better than if she was not rescued. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to adopt her. Thanks so much for everything.
Hi, All. Back in August (2016) we adopted one of your cats named
These are two of Wreath’s kittens in their new home together. So glad they are not out in the cold. Wreath was a great mommy and so was her foster mom, Paula.
Banjo and Fiddle are doing great! Rather than sleep on their nice new bed, however, they prefer the couch to sleep on (as every cat knows:)
Both are very playful, loving and truly enjoy their morning time with their new daddy.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to give you a follow up on Bast (formally Triscuit).
After a few days, Bast had settled in wonderfully. He is amazingly cuddly, and quite the talker. Although there were a few days of sibling rivalry between Bast and our 2-year old Skylar, after Bast's neutering, the boys get along wonderfully. They play with each other non-stop, and even give each other baths. We are so happy to have Bast as a new member of our family, and he seems to have fully adjusted.
Thank you so much for helping us through the adoption - we are so happy to have our little family complete!
We just wanted to give you a "happy tail" of how we are doing. My brother Elliot (formerly Colby - that's him in the picture smiling for the camera) and I (formerly Bailey) are sooooo happy in our new home. My mom and dad just set us up in a huge room in the basement but we get to run around the kitchen a lot when she can supervise us with that big black cat that also lives here. He doesn't give us a hard time. Some times he hisses but, mostly, he just sits and watches us. I think eventually we are all going to be good friends. We have lots of room to run and lots of fun toys so we get a lot of exercise. We have our very own condo, a tunnel and feathers to chase, not to mention that elusive red dot that we never seem to be able to catch. We are eating well and getting bigger. Life is good.
I haven't stopped laughing since I brought Bella (formerly) Steinway home! She is doing great and thanks the folks at Paws of Plainville for taking care of her. Bella is just perfect although she's a spitfire!
Bella was accepted beautifully by my resident cat who plays with her and follows her around like a dutiful friend. Bella, however, is the diva and bosses him around and lets everyone know which toys are only her toys!
March 2015 Update:
Just updating you on Bella. She is just a joy to me and Shiloh. She is such a funny, loveable kitten. She and Shiloh run and play all over the house. She is very quiet at night and doesn't wake me up, which is wonderful. Since I have supplied her with a few scratching posts that she likes, she has not scratched any of my furniture. She goes right to her scratching posts. She is very smart. I showed her where the litter boxes were in the basement and that was that. She is so sweet and adorable. I am absolutely crazy in love with this kitten, and Shiloh has readily accepted her as his new companion. He is so much more active now. It's the best thing I could have done for him, since my dog passed away. Bella loves the new cat tower that I bought at Wayfair.com. Enjoy the pictures. Thanks again.
I think this photo says it all.
Just a note to let you know everything is fine. I took him to the vet Monday, he had some discharge from his eyes, they gave me ointment for the eyes and antibiotics. He’s so much better, no discharge at all.
He is a great cat. I can’t believe it’s only been a week, it feels like he’s always been with us. He and my other cat Kate are doing very well, I think Kate is enjoying the company. I know in my heart that he was waiting for me to come get him and bring him home. His biggest concern now is which bed to sleep on and which blanket is softer.
THANKS SO MUCH,
I wanted to send this picture and a few others to you. The kittens (formerly Positano and Capri) are doing great…their new names are Bode (orange) and Coco (black and white). The boys absolutely love having them around and they have certainly acclimated nicely to their new surroundings. They are very friendly and playful. We are so glad that we adopted them and look forward to seeing them grow.
Her name is now
Ramsie. She is still as adorable as you remember her. She has to be by far the best kitten to walk the earth. She does Nothing wrong. Does not jump on counters or tables, does not knock things over, does not touch the plants, does not even scratch at furniture only the scratching posts. Although she does not use her condo towers yet I am sure she will in time. She is quite independent as I hoped for and is so cute. Everyone thinks she is adorable as soon as they see her. Her coat is so soft it is like petting the air....
Orphaned kittens Boone & Crockett were raised at the shelter in 2012. The family that fostered them during a shelter evacuation due to hurricane Sandy liked them so much they adopted them.
They wanted to share these photos from Christmas day 2014 of now-named Boonie and Stormy. The now happy, adored and pampered felines gave the sign above to their family as a Christmas present.
Just a little note Brody is doing great.. I couldn’t ask for a better kitten. Congrats on the 1st big step on the shelter project. Happy Holidays to you and your family I hope its everything you wished for and more.
- T,J, Harley and Brody
I thought I would give you an update on Cadence (aka Cadee). It’s been about 3 weeks now and she has adjusted well to her new environment. The 10 days of eyedrops for conjunctivitis delayed my bonding with her a little but she has moved on from that. She loves laying on our laps and sleeping in our bed. The dog pays no attention to her and Cadee just keeps her distance but is not afraid to be in the same room with the dog. We purchased a bunch of toys for her but ironically her favorite is a crumbled up ball of paper. She loves sitting on the cat tree to watch the birds and squirrels in the back yard. She is so sweet and we love her so much.
Also, we enjoy our Thursday nights volunteering at the shelter. I share the nightly reports and images with my wife. We are so glad we can help out.
Just wanted to send a little note to say Cagney is doing great at her new home. She's getting along very well in this full house of 3 kids, 2 other adult cats, a dog, 2 gerbils, a bird, and fish. Although I did have to rescue her when she was literally hanging from the bird cage, first and last time she ever did that! She follows me around everywhere! She loves to play with our chocolate lab Bella, and the other cats are warming up to her, even when she follows them around incessantly. And for those that knew her, she still has quite the distinct sound when she breathes, her nickname is "snorky". In the middle of the night you can her exactly where she is in the house. She is a love and loves to be patted. We are very happy she has completed our family!
- Cagney's Mom
Hi, friends of Paws of Plainville:
It has been a year since we adopted Callie and we are delighted with her. Callie has made herself a forever home here lol! She is gentle and funny and keeps us laughing all the time. Her favorite toy is a stuffed carrot. She hides her toys in slippers. She has an amazingly funny personality!
She loves to play and then is perfectly happy curled up in a lap! Callie completely trusts me now. She rubs noses with me!
We are so glad we found her! Thank you Paws of Plainville!
- B & A
Here are a few of the pictures of Charlie - happy in his forever home.
- Regards, Norm
Hi PAWS people!
Gracie is doing great! She is fitting right in with the crew and wants to be included in everything! She now roams freely except when I am at school. Seven hours is too much time to leave her in charge of the puppy. She is training Kiko to behave but he still has a hard time telling when she is playing and when she's had it with him. I get out of school a week from Monday so I think I'll wait until then to give her free reign. She seldom bites and when she does it's more of a warning bite. Usually it's if all the dogs are milling around and I touch her(she doesn't know who's coming from what direction) or if she's wound up from playing and over-tired. I give her a very firm
no and stop petting her. It seems to be working. Her temperament is perfect for our home! Thank you so much for helping me find her and for all that you do!
Cirrus is doing awesome with his family; we love him!!! Thank You so Much!!
Chloe (clover) is doing just fine, it's taken all of this time for the two of us to get acquainted. She's still a little skittish but I don't regret taking her for a minute! She's such a pleasure, I just love her.
Thank you again!
Thought I would give you a little update on Crosby. Everyone is doing great. At our last vet appt, he had put on 1.2 pounds. He has a great appetite! We see him getting bigger by the day.
Both Oliver and Crosby get along great. I'm sure there is some sibling rivalry but for the most part, they love each other. Oliver even grooms Crosby by licking him. Its the cuties thing ever. I have attached a picture of our boys. They look all innocent, but it was wrestle-mania that morning. Crosby loves to attack Olivers fluffy tail and follow him around the house.
Check out how big he is getting. We will provide periodic updates. We expect nothing but fun times in the years to come.
Thanks again for everything,
- C, A, Oliver and Crosby
Daelin and Nola (now Enigma and Mystery) are doing great. Both have been to the JP Animal Clinic and got the second round of their vaccinations. They are quite mischievous cats (especially Enigma, the black one) and are always up to something! They truly make life more enjoyable, and I love how they both follow me all around the house no matter what I'm doing. They sleep with me at night and love to be petted. They get along OK, some fights and hissing, but overall they are friends. I am so so happy with them and I love them lots! Thanks so much for taking them in and helping them be a part of my family.
I just wanted to write and let you know how the kitten we adopted last year is doing. We adopted Jane (formerly Eeyore) in August of 2009 from Paws of Plainville and we could not be happier with her. She is such a friendly lap cat and is the perfect companion after a long day.
I just wanted to extend my thanks and the thanks of my family for the wonderful work you do rescuing these kittens.I have attached a couple of photos for you of Jane. She has grown quite a bit from the tiny 2 pound kitten we adopted.
Once again thank you!
Sorry it has taken me so long to write about Ellie (Pecan). Ellie is doing great. She is full of energy and has a wonderful time playing with our other cat Forest. Mouse is her favorite toy and it is fun to watch her throwing, hitting and carrying mouse around the house. Her fur is so soft and long and she is still a small girl weighing only 6.2 lbs. Thank you for giving her tender loving care when she was a sick little kitten. She has grown into a beautiful, loved family pet.
Just to let you know that Emmi is still doing great. We love her and she is showing her affection more every day. She hasn't jumped into my lap yet but I hope for that soon!
The photo is of her napping in my grandmother's antique doll cradle. She sleeps in it most nights too. I have it in our upstairs landing where it's quite secluded. She is in bed with us every morning when we wake up. She can literally run up and down the stairs!
Thank you so much!
I thought I'd send you a couple of pictures and an update on our spoiled little girl. Evie is a riot, whether she's playing with a dust mote on the floor or waking Rick up at 3:30am or 5:00am just to play. He leads her to the basement so he can go back to his sleep.
She's a very good girl and a good companion cat. She loves to attack the birds that feed in our outside feeders from the back window. She has been a good mouser (I haven't seen any lately) but she got very upset the first time she made a kill and left it for Rick. He picked it up and threw it outside. She went apesh*t. I told him (and he knew) that it was a gift. She didn't come downstairs for a couple of days. That was in the beginning when she was getting to know us.
She's no longer afraid of my wheels and just looks at me when I roll toward as if to say, you want over there? go around me.
She's a pleasure and we're very happy with her. I'm sorry I haven't told you sooner
This is Fred and Ethel. Arent they adorable? They came from a wood pile. . . now they will be together, pampered for life in an exceptional home.
This is what rescue is all about.
Hi. Here's a picture of Genius (well, she is now Scout) in her favorite place under the tree. She is doing awesome and we love her.
Greycie is doing really really well. She just got spayed and is healing nicely and jumping all around again. She has put on 2lbs 2oz’s! She loves her new sister’s Jessie (dog) and Jojo (cat). She stalks them around the house to play with their tails, etc.! She is so much fun and everywhere we take her everyone says how cute she is! We agree….she is the most adorable kitty ever! She is loving her freedom and runs all around the house but sleeps right through the night with us in the bedroom. She is a love.
Thank you for letting us adopt her.

It's been two great years with Griz now. We have him leash-trained so he has been enjoying walks in the woods and climbing lots of trees. Most of all he enjoys sleeping in the sun and lounging on our bed. He has become an irreplaceable member of our family. We love him!!
Hamilton and McDuff are both well and so happy. It appears that they will both be staying with me, since my son's cat did NOT like having a friend. But that is OK, they are happy together, Camden has adjusted and they sleep curled in her tail. Gus likes to groom them and Trevor is tolerating them. It gives me great pleasure when they race to greet me when I come home. They have a forever home thanks to your efforts.
Hemingway is doing great. He wasted no time making himself right at home. He slept on the way home, then I opened the cat carrier and he came running out ready to play. He was running around the bedroom, climbing right up the bed. He is crazy! I opened the door of the "safe room" and he went flying around the house, looking at everything. I showed him the litter box and he caught right on. He is very smart. I will send pictures soon. I just wanted to let everyone know he is doing well, thanks!
- A & J
My sincere apologies for the delay in updating you on Homer...it has been a crazy week! Well, as far as adapting to his new home...it took all of five minutes! LOL! He checked out the entire house and then lounged on my bed. All i can say is that he is an absolute LOVEBUG. He follows me around like a dog purring louder than a motorboat. He runs to greet me at the door when i come home and has the cutest murmur/kitty talk. He sleeps in HIS bed every night, as it is his favorite spot (until his new cat perch arrives!) I truly believe it was meant to be and he is my kitty soulmate. Not only is he by my side most of the time, but he loves company and treats everyone with love and kisses. He is eating well and started using the litterbox immediately. Each day is a new day to explore and discover throughout the house. He has lots of toys and loves to play...even gets weird fits of energy and darts through the whole house up and down the stairs. I think he is a happy boy!! Thank you for all that you and your staff of volunteers do. You rescued a cat who rescued me.Thank you again, you are angels for all that you do.
- xoxo CS and Homer

I just wanted to let you know that Keno (now called Kenzi) is doing great. She has settled in so nice in our home with our family and our two dogs. She actually plays really good with our rescue dog, a Shih Tzu, that I had gotten in November. The two of them chase each other back and forth and yes, they both chase each other!
Kenzi has gained some weight and is just turning out so beautiful. She has got a great personality and has her place down in our cellar where she goes to eat and has alot of her toys downstairs. Most of the time she follows me around always needing to know what is going on with everyone in the house!
Just thought you would like to know. It was a great idea to rescue.
Khloe is doing phenomenally!!
She LOVES cuddling and would do it all day if we were always there! She loves to play too but cuddling is by far her favorite thing to do!
I was able to wean her off the wet food, it took a while though because she absolutely loved it! She still is a little bit of a scavenger though when it comes to food (the first day home with her she jumped on the counter and stole a meatball right off the plate!!!) I was able to catch her and the meatball and lets just say it only happened a couple more times after that. (Not a fan of the spray bottle!)Khloe has become my new best friend along with my sons and we're so, so happy :)
Here is Kittery, as happy in her new home as we are to have her. Thank you again to you and all the volunteers for what you do. Thanks also for all of your tips about effecting a smooth transition/adjustment. Kittery is the perfect lap cat we had hoped for, and so well behaved. She was a perfect match for us!
Greetings from King Richard! He has his own throne now :)
Hi all! King Richard is doing well; he just had his first physical along with a chip put in him. My brother said that he is the most affectionate cat he has ever had. This picture shows
The King on his favorite chair.
Kiwi took right to the apartment. I open the carrier door Friday night and she came right out, chest all puffed out and came right to me.
She already is in control and roams freely, The photo attached is where she took over my plant stand, it stand at 5' so she loves to lay there and watch everything; notice I put her blanket there to make her cozy.
She most definatly loves to be petted, brushed and held and has no problem telling me when enough is enough.
She startles easily so that really seems to be the only thing we need to work on and I assume some of that is with the new enviroment.
I will keep updating you.
Thanks for everything.
Hello!! We are loving our new pet! She has made herself right at home as you can see. She's such a sweety. She's comfy here on the couch but her real bed is right under a window which is great for bird watching, too. Sleeping and bird watching... Her two favorite things :)
She loves the kids...she runs to greet my son at the door each day when he arrives home from school. Of course, giving her a treat when he opens the door helps! My daughter is completely in love with her... She's like a living teddy bear; a dream come true! They've knicknamed her
We took her for a check up at the vet and all was well. Had her nails trimmed at Petco today.
Thanks for checking in on her!!
Happy New Year Everyone! Just wanted to let you know Ethan was super excited to get his kitty Christmas morning. He is absolutely in love with him and the kitten has acclimated quickly and easily. He is super loving and playful. Ethan decided to name him “Leo” since he is spotted like a Leopard.
You can see the spots that gave Leo his name.
Here he is about to pounce on his ball. He likes the sneak attack from under the table. He’s actually very difficult to photograph because he moves so quickly!
We are all madly in love with Leo and so happy he was able to join our family!
Licorice is a happy kitty. He only needed a few minutes to adjust then he was on the couch with us. He's now my shadow.
Just sending an update on Lily (AKA) Hemp. She has adjusted very well to living with us and our dog; she likes to snuggle with the dog and she is definitely the boss of the two of them. She is doing really well!
I just wanted to send you an update on Loki. It's been just over a year since he came home. We can't imagine life without him! He has a basket full of kitty toys and 3 little boys to keep him busy. He is perfect.
He is still super playful, he loves napping in the sun and his favorite toy is a wand toy. Every time I think he's favoring one of my boys I find him cuddled up with another one. We are truly blessed to have him in our family.
This photo was taken September 17, 2016.
Wanted to share a few photos of Lola. She is doing great and really taking to everyone in our home - she is loads of fun and so very sweet. We all love her dearly :)
Thanks again for everything,
Things are going great. Luciano has adjusted well and my mom loves him. He wanted you to have these selfies he took last week.
Hello Paws of Plainville!
I would like to thank you so much for bringing me Maestro (formally Porthos)! He has been such a wonderful addition to my family! When I first brought him home, he was instantly comfortable! He is very loving and affectionate cat; I get woken up every morning to a purring kitten snugging up next to me, and get greeted at the door when I get home from work every time. Maestro will often lay on his back and asked for his tummy to get rubbed - so cute! He is perfectly playful and (so far) has been more interested in his toys than in my furniture (lets hope it stays that way). His favorite thing to do is play fetch with me! Overall, he is very well behaved; occasionally he'll test the rules, but responds well when I say
no. All of my friends that have met him want to steal him from me, which is flattering, but not going to happen :)
So thank you again, I'll continue to keep you updated!
I am attaching a couple of pictures of the kittens so you can see how much they've grown! We absolutely love them and they are very happy in our home. They are both very affectionate and we wouldn't trade them for the world, even when they're 'acting up'. We are so happy we decided to adopt two because they just adore each other and are constantly playing hide and seek with each other and they love to curl up together when they sleep.
We have changed their names from Marathon and Mobil to Diesel and Dexter.
Thanks so much for the awesome kittens! We love them!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
I wanted to let you know what an awesome addition Max (Checkers) and Ruby (Uno) are to our family. We are all just so in love with them! Including our two other cats. Everyone gets along great!
Max (Checkers) is my love. He has the best personality and is super social. He is with me all the time. Greets me at the door, sits in my lap at the computer, sits in the bathroom sink when I am getting ready... you get my point ... :) He purrs so loud and loves to be carried around. He also thinks he's a dog sometimes. He carries stuffed animals around the house and when he's happy he wags his tail... looks like a big swiffer. It's a riot!!
Ruby (Uno) is so sweet. She purrs as soon as you talk to her and has this sweet little meow. She loves to be patted and she loves to be held (as long as you are MALE)! :) She will not let me hold her. Makes me so sad, but she loves to be held by my boys and she gets in bed with them all the time.
Anyway, I wanted to fill you in on how they were doing. They are healthy and happy and we just adore them!!!!
So far, so good!
We broke Merlin of the habit of getting on the kitchen counters, using empty plastic water bottles like someone was bowling. So far, he has not gone up there. He seems to like jumping in the tub and batting the curtain liner. No big deal and he doesn't hurt anything. We got him one of those toys with the ball that goes around in the channel and he loves it. Of course, he has plenty of other toys as well. You seem to forget how feisty they can be at such a young age. He tries to lift the bedroom shade when daylight breaks and will also wake us at the wee hours of the morning, but as time goes by, we hope he will settle into our routine a little more. He's a love when he wants to be, but he has his feisty moments.
I've included three pictures of him in our bow window, as he loves to watch the birds and the activity outside. Thank you so much for the follow-up and we will stay in touch.
- Love, M, P & Merlin.
Millie (formerly Stormy) has been with us for about 3 months now. She has made herself at home and has a comfortable relationship with our other cat, and it is getting better every day. She loves sitting in the windows and talks our ears off with her many different melodious meows. We are so happy she chose us.
Meg's name is Miso now. She is doing great and it’s the best thing that has happened for us by far.
- A & D
Thank you, Sue, for all the information you sent as part of the adoption package. The kitties are wonderful and I am enjoying my time with them. My only problem is getting anything else done! They love playing in their room and slide across the hardwood floors during wild games of chase. Then all of a sudden they are ready to crash and are asleep in my lap.
Thought you might enjoy a couple of pictures of them in their bed by the fire, playing with their toys, hiding in the basket and asleep in my lap.
Just wanted to let you know that Monty has had a great first day, better than we could of hoped for; lots of playing and cuddles, he even had a sleep in my arms. He has so much energy, we all love him to bits! We can't thank you all enough he is already an important part of our family.
- C. and Family
THANK YOU TO PAWS OF PLAINVILLE FOR ALL YOU GUYS DO FOR THE UNWANTED KITTENS/CATS. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST AND DO THE BEST FOR YOUR ANIMALS AND THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO ADOPT THEM.
- T, J, Brody and Nova
He is sure a cutie and he just loves his own space and his own schedule! He was introduced to our home in our den and there is where he likes. He indeed gives me and Charlie our "visitation" and he comes into our space where we watch TV, etc, but at his own liking. When he has had enough, he goes back to his own. He is gentle, loving, adorable and playful. The grandchildren love him too.
Thank you for taking such good care of him. He is doing well.
Here is a photo of our adopted cat Okemo. We love his personality and he loves to sit in front of the wood stove. He is a great match for us!
- C & J
Hi, all. We wanted to let you know that "sparrow" is settling in VERY well to his new home. We had a cat named Jack Sparrow who had died last year, and we wanted to give this kitty a new name. One of my husband's favorite movies is The Whole 9 Yards, and one of the main characters is Oseransky - he is funny but becomes very courageous when needed - and that fit this little fella. So he is now Oseransky, or OZ for short.
After the first couple days of slowing meeting the baby and the dog he has pretty well taken over the place! Oz has our dog Maggie running in circles while he chuckles at her from a safe high spot. They are playing well together and we expect them to become the best of pals.
Oz is very gentle with Mac our grandson, and knows to scoot when the baby fingers start grabbing. Mac has two kitties at his house and he is learning to be gentle with the animals.
It is wonderful to have a cat in the house again. We had loved Jack so much and a dog is just not quite the same kind of pal. OZ sleeps with us right in the middle of the bed and Maggie is downstairs in her crate.
Enjoy the photos, and know that Oz will live happily ever after!

We're so glad to have Peanut in our family, and I'm sure all the volunteers are curious about how she's doing. Peanut's just the sweetest gal ever, and she greets me with the most wonderful meow and purr in the morning before I leave for work and when I come home. She's so quiet, and loves to hang out or sleep in the same rooms that my fiance and I are in. My fiance and I are so grateful for all the volunteers have done for our wonderful, feline companion!
We wanted to give you an update on Pickles (formerly known as Bailey)! He is such a wonderful addition to our home and we just can't get enough of him. He's completely taken over the house and has quickly become king of the castle. He's staked claim on his new favorite window for people/bird watching and he also made it very clear where he wanted his bed to be. One night, he knocked everything on one of our bedstands over and sat himself down in that very spot. He now spends each night lying next to us in his plush new bed. He is the biggest snuggler I've ever seen and he just loves to be around people. He follows us from room to room, just like a dog, and he loves to be held - just like how he acted when we fell in love with him at the shelter. He was the first kitten we met and it was love at first sight. Thank you for everything; we are so happy to have found Pickles and we're pretty sure he's happy to have found us too :)
Things with Pilgrim (now Stormy) are wonderful. He has become a full fledged member of our family and I don't know how we functioned without him. He loves to cuddle with us on the couch and follows us around the house like a shadow. He has ton of toys and loves his big fish and laser pointer. Donny and I feel like he has been the best thing to happen to us to fill our empty house.
Now, I only have like a million and a half pictures of him, so here are a few of our favorites.
Here is a picture of Platinum and Silver. They are doing great.
Thanks for all your help with the adoption.
I wanted to give you an up date on our
Leo is a dream, good natured beyond any expectations we had...... he is loved.
Thanks to the volunteers at Paws, Leo has a forever home and we have a wonderful companion.
I wanted to send the picture you asked for. Pop is doing great and is really bonding with us. She is great with my son. They play very well together. I swear the other day they were playing hide and seek, lol.
- Thanks, M
Pringles (now Dublin) was adopted in October 2014 and boy oh boy is he a happy kitty! He's discovered a love for everything from watching snow fall and snow sports to his big doggy brother! He equally enjoys discovering new hideaways to play in and taking a long winter's nap. His new family could not be happier to have him be a part of our lives!
Attached are recent photos. They are doing very well and have acclimated to us and their new home. I kept calling smudge little missy and it stuck. (Lol) Thanks for all the good work that you do at Paws of Plainville.
Ramada and Radisson are now named Pepper (Ramada) and Flash (Radisson). They have had their spay/neuter procedures and each weigh about six pounds. The vet says they are both healthy with no concerns.
They get along very well with their five-year-old brother cat, Shadow, who is good about cleaning them, teaching them the ropes, and playing with them. The kittens love to chase each other around the house, take a nap, and then start over again. Flash will nap just about anywhere but Pepper often wanders around, investigating, and getting into a little trouble.
The family is thrilled to have these two kittens and are so glad the adoption has worked out so well. Their foster mother could not be more thrilled to get this news.
I just wanted to send out an email and let you all know that Raymond (Denver) is doing very well in his new home. Raymond adapted so well to his new environment. Since his first day here he has been his usual lovey, cuddly self. He seems to be very comfortable in his new surroundings hes been using his stratching post and toys instead of the furniture like a good boy. I have attached a few of the pictures that we have of him to this email. It has been hard to capture good pictures of him since he is so full of energy enjoying his new space. Enjoy!
Thank you for this bundle of joy!
Hello everyone at Paws of Plainville,
We adopted Rolo in November of 2011 and just love him to pieces. I have never seen a cat more gentle with children and one who loves to cuddle and play with others as much as he does. We kept his name Rolo because it just seemed to suit him. He is such an easy cat too. He knew how to use his littler box right from the start and he does not scratch the furniture either. He really has settled nicely into his new home. He loves his dangle toys and his laser toy. We spend a lot of time playing with him. He truly adds more happiness to an already happy home.
Thank you to everyone at Paws of Plainville for helping find the perfect cat for my family!!!!
- G & The Boys
Just wanted to thank you again for all of your help. Ruby is settling in; she has been exploring since we got home, no real hiding. She met the kids and went to them to be loved on. She is purring on top of our bed and is very curious about what is outside of our room!
Here are some photos of Sam and Adam and also my older cat with the boys. I have lots of pics. Hope you enjoy. I will send some every so often so you can see how they are and growing.
They are such a joy and so lovable and keep themselves busy wrestling with taffy.
Sammy has settled in nicely. He loves Star Wars toys and kneading blankets. He has given up his pants for a scatter rug.
We wanted to give you an update on our kittens. Sampson (now Linus) and Delilah (now Lucy) have adjusted well these past few months. We are happy to report that they are spayed/neutered, 100% healthy and gaining weight beautifully. We have attached some pictures of both and wanted to share some of the insight we have learned from the kittens:
necklaceswith our 15-month-old daughter.
Thank you Paws of Plainville for allowing us to adopt these 2 little angels. We are a complete family now that we have them. They truly are a gift and we will always be grateful!
- R, L, P & K and, of course, Lucy and Linus
After a 2-week round of antibiotics for whatever infection afflicted her (we still don't know what it was) it finally cleared enough that they felt it was safe to spay her. She came through with flying colors and is completely healed and growing by leaps and bounds. She's actually grown into that fluffy tail she had and doesn't' looks like a squirrel anymore much to our disappointment we loved her big fluffy tail. She's getting huge! Still a beautiful silver lady. Not shy at all, loving and playful. Still her favorite human is my 3 year old. :)
Thank you for asking about her!
Hi, I just wanted to send you some pictures of the kittens we adopted in September. You knew them as Colorado and Oregon. They are both doing very well and we are enjoying their company.
- J & B
We☆ have so fun he makes me laugh! ♡♡♡♡ he's eating about one-and-a-half cans day + dry. Jubilee (formerly Sheldon) told me to send his love to you!! Had a friend over yesterday and Jubilee climbed into his lap, cuddled up and went to sleep. I think my friend enjoyed that and was amazed!
Jubilee has a lot of love to give, a very special little boy as you know! And he loves to sit in the sun on the screened in porch. He head butts, chirps and cuddles like a kitty I've never had b4☆♡♡.
She's all settled in after she and Dave spent the last hour chasing each other around the house! Thank you so much for helping in every way to help us adopt her! We are both loving having Pearl in our home! And we think she is pretty happy too!!
- L & D
Hi. We are taking things slow with introductions. Going from Smokey and the dog looking at each other through the glass slider to smelling each other through the screen. No hurries....Our dog, Mocha, is playful and excited, but Smokey is a bit taken back, so we will definitely go slow.
Smokey is a wonderful cat. We are all enjoying him; and I think he is quite happy here. He loves watching the birds through the window! He follows us around the house, especially when we go up and down the stairs. And he's affectionate. We love him....he's a keeper!
Here's Smudge (now known as Jack), adopted from Paws back in November. He's the best!!
Snowy (aka Squeaky) is doing beautifully! She has yet to talk to us, she is very quiet. My daughter and her husband came over last night to see her and she let out a growl when picked her up.
She goes up and down the stairs by herself and my husband had made two boxes for her to sleep in with her own little entrance so she would feel safe. One upstairs and one down, two litter boxes (one up and one down) But in spite of having a box to sleep in last night she slept with us at the foot of the bed. She loves to play on the bed, as I guess the foster mom knows. This morning she was very quiet and didn't bug us for food but waited patiently for us to come down and feed her.
A few times in the night she must have gone down to eat, so she is finding her way around the house. She's very smart. You have done a great job of teaching her the basics.

Amber a.k.a SPARKY.... is doing great! :-) Matthew was thrilled and Jesse is just as excited!
Sparky is such a good cat...doesn't scratch, doesn't bite, doesn't growl...doesn't get upset...He's very chill! We couldn't ask for a better kitty!
He had quite a day yesterday...transitioning from our house to my mom's for a bit and then back to our house. He started out in the bathroom until the boys woke up...Then we made Matthew's room his safe room. He hid under the bureau for a good deal of the day as I hosted Christmas here and we had a lot of people in and out.....but we were able to coax him out to play a bit and love him up! Boy, does he love to be pet and wow does he PURRRRRR. Love him! Our other kitties have not seen him yet, but I know Misty knows he's here.
I just tucked Matthew into bed and Sparky as well, as they are roommates. He loves the bed//house you gave him and he is sleeping in there tonight. I had also bought him one similar, so he goes between both. He has quite the toy selection too.
Storm is seriously the cutest kitty I've ever met; she's so tiny yet makes so much noise thumping around following me everywhere. She's the perfect companion and LOVES snuggling – it's so adorable!
Urine ph came back with good levels from vet and even though her eyes are not 100% better (still a little red) the doctor thinks it could be stress related or herpes as it only flares up from time to time. I wouldn't trade her, though. I'm always so happy to come home to her as she's the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, so excited to see me she will let out a little meep and roll over on the floor! (Ha ha) Then later she will lay in my lap or anywhere she can fit on me and purr away.
Thank you for the kitten (Suki). The kitten is so friendly and kisses all the time.
Hello, I just wanted to send you in a happy tail! In the two months Alana
Kaiju Estrela (formely Taps), has been with us, she has develop two modes: being in places she shouldn't and sleeping. And that simply makes us love her more.
Well, Taz is doing great!!! He has a good appetite and is growing so fast, he weighs 7 pounds now. He still loves to run around the house like a maniac a couple times a day but he is also still a great snuggler.
He is definitely a mama's boy. He follows me around and prefers to sit with/sleep on me. He loves toys and just about anything around the house becomes a toy to him. Boxes, bags, paper, napkins, shoes, etc. His favorite toys are my son's nerf darts and a little stuffed dog that he carries around the house with him and alternates between grooming and beating up. He also loves to groom my husband's goatee every day, whether my husband wants him to or not.
The best thing about him, and this is something I have never seen or heard of another cat doing, is that he likes to play fetch. He will bring us one of his toys, drop it, and sit and wait for us to throw it for him. Sometimes this will go on for an hour, the longest he has done it was an hour and a half until he got tired and took a nap. He is very intelligent. He even started bringing the toys to me and dropping them in my water glass instead of next to me on the couch. I don't mind it so much when the glass is empty but when I have a half glass of water or something else and a wadded up napkin gets dropped into it then it's pretty gross. I even tried putting a piece of paper over the top of my glass to block it off and he pushed the paper aside with his nose and dropped the toy in the glass anyways.
He is great entertainment and we are really enjoying him. And next weekend he is going to have a new brother. We are getting a 10 week old black lab puppy so he will have a furry little buddy. I don't know when you are putting the album together but I will attach our xmas card pic from this year for it, and I will also send you a pic of Taz and the new puppy once we take them.
Hi everyone! I just wanted to send a quick update on Tequila. Since we adopted her back in July she has made amazing progress!!! She is such a beautiful loving kitty and we couldn't be happier with her in our home. She loves to sit on the couch with us watching tv and she sleeps in our bed with us every night. She loves to play with her toys and just spend time with both of us. I can't believe the progress she has made especially where she spent the first few weeks under the bed. I have attached a few pictures for you as well!
I am the volunteer who adopted Autumn -- now named Tessa. Just wanted to share some pics and give you an update.
Tessa is the most beautiful, loving kitty I could ever imagine. She looks and acts like royalty as she should -- she is a little princess. She has adjusted extremely well to her new home and loves to play with her toys. YES, that includes a feather toy, but she really loves stuffed mice of any kind.
She wanted me to thank all her wonderful friends at Paws that took such good care of her and her babies. It was because of all the love and care you gave her that she is healthy, happy and in her forever home. Thanks from her mom too!!!
Hello Paws of Plainville, Inc.:
My best friend sleeps with me at night. No offense, but he definitely does not miss you guys! We love him! Thanks for the bestest and biggest kitty evah!
Hello to all my friends at Paws of Plainville,
I just wanted to let you know how I am doing. I love my new home. I have lots of places to explore and lots of toys to play with. My big sister, Onyx is pretty cool and we get along great! Thank you for taking such good care of me while I was there! I appreciate it more than you know!
- Love, Topaz (aka Velma)
Twiggy is doing absolutely awesome!! She has quickly adjusted nicely and received a clean bill of health from the vet last month. She loves to play, run, eat and hang out on or near the kids and me. She loves to cuddle and will usually be in the same room as one of us. I have made her some handmade kitty hideaway homes. She loves to play and sleep in them :) She also has claimed my daughter's handmade kitty house and my son's handmade birdhouse that I made for them out of cardboard.. :) She loves to watch the kids play games and will even be caught watching tv (sometimes by herself- we gave her a kitty DVD that she also enjoys).
Thanks again for allowing us to adopt Twiggy (we nicknamed her
Twiggy Twigs). She is the perfect addition to our lil family!!!
Hi! I adopted Twilight (I call him Pepper) back in October 2012 and thought I would send you some pictures. He is doing so great — he is very playful and affectionate and loves to snuggle with me. He still gets a little skittish at first around other people but he warms up after a few minutes.
Recently, while cat sitting for my sister's cats, Pepper bonded with them — playing and snuggling as shown in the pictures.
Overall, he is doing fantastically and loves playing with all his toys and just enjoying his new life.
Thank you again for Pepper. He is a big part of my life and given the way he got along with my sister's cats, I may adopt another cat in the future.
FOUND! Vinny had been missing for over a month but his family never gave up hope that he would be found. PAWS got the call November 12th about a cat trying to seek shelter. One of our volunteers (Paula!) went out late at night and was able to lure the wayward feline into a carrier. We just knew he had a home somewhere. Sure enough, Vinny's family confirmed that this was their missing boy. On November 14th, Paws of Plainville shared in the joy of returning this cat to his family.
Hi shelter people...thank you for taking care of me. I now live in a nice home. My family looooves me! And as you can see, I've been gaining weight. I love to eat!
- Thanks again,
