CATS AND KITTENS AT OUR SHELTER:

Ikea

Pet Picture

Homeowners facing foreclosure sometimes have to make tough decisions about their pets. But leaving a pet behind should never be the decision. Sadly, when Ikea’s family lost their house, they moved out their furniture but left Ikea behind.

This handsome young, friendly cat is approximately 1-2 years old, neutered and current on all shots.

If you would like to meet Ikea or other cats or kittens in our care waiting for a home, please call (508) 695-4707 (leave a message if need be!).

Jordan

Pet PicturePet PicturePet PicturePet Picture

Jordan has become one of our shelter volunteers’ favorites! Jordan is a mature soul who had been living outdoors for several years. Shelter life is not ideal for any cat, but for a cat like Jordan, it is very hard to adjust. He is not a cuddling kitten, nor is he a ready-made lap cat, but he is a kind and gentle boy. While living outdoors, Jordan was being fed by a kind woman who asked for help getting Jordan indoors during this brutal winter. She recently shared, Jordan, was in my yard for several years before being trapped just before all the snow started this year. I fed him every day. At first, it was Jordan and his sister but she was killed by a car about 2 years ago. I still find myself looking for him when I get up each morning… I am glad he is now safe and out of the weather.

In his three months with Paws of Plainville, Inc., Jordan has gradually come out of his shell. Though he is still very shy, we've discovered that he is also very sweet. He enjoys being patted and purrs when you sit with him. Jordan will need some patience but we are confident that in a quiet home he will blossom into an affectionate lap cat.

Jordan is neutered, combo tested negative, and is current with all vaccinations.

If you would like to meet Jordan or other cats or kittens in our care waiting for a home, please call (508) 695-4707 (leave a message if need be!).
